I’m a photographer based in northern New Mexico specializing in landscapes, weather and the night sky. My passion for photography was ignited as a small child while pouring over images in photo books and National Geographic Magazine. My parents bought me a small camera over 40 years ago and I’ve was hooked.
After spending many years away from New Mexico, I returned to my hometown of Los Alamos in 1999 and became very serious about improving my photographic skills. I love the mountains. I love the canyons. I love the weather. The expansive landscapes, tumultuous weather, and the deep black night sky, there is not another place in the country where you have that all together.
Capturing light is what it’s all about. I love experimentation and applying what I learn to my photography. Black and white photography is perfect for this. There are no boundaries.
I’m excited and honored to be part of this year’s Shades of Gray New Mexico Photography Art Show. This show brings out the best black and white photography in the Southwest and I’m looking forward to seeing all of the submissions.
